Ada Freund is a Finnish dance artist. She graduated from Northern School of Contemporary Dance (UK) and completed postgraduate studies at the PERA School of Performing Arts (Cyprus). She has worked with international choreographers such as Eleanor Perry and Daniel Hay-Gordon, Jos Baker, Marion Sparber and Alan Fuentes-Guerra, Johanna Spies, Jean Abreu.

Inspired by the playfulness of imagination and the embodiment of sensorial experiences, Ada combines these elements in her movement research. Rooted in humanistic values, Ada’s work emphasizes accessibility, emotional presence, and collective creation. She is particularly interested in how art can be used as a medium for connection—between individuals, communities, and cultures. Valuing collaboration and multidisciplinary approaches, Ada continuously looks for new perspectives.

Freund is working as a performer and choreographer in several productions, in Finland and internationally. Freund’s artistic contributions have been recognized with grants from the Arts Promotion Center Finland, Finnish Cultural Foundation, Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation and Samuel Huberin taidesäätiö.
