Ada Freund is a Finnish dance artist. She graduated from Northern School of Contemporary Dance (UK) in 2022 and completed postgraduate studies at the PERA School of Performing Arts. She has worked with international choreographers such as Eleanor Perry and Daniel Hay-Gordon, Jos Baker, Marion Sparber and Alan Fuentes-Guerra, Johanna Spies, Jean Abreu.

Inspired by the playfulness of imagination and the embodiment of sensorial experiences, Ada combines these elements in her movement research. Rooted in humanistic values, Ada’s work emphasizes accessibility, emotional presence, and collective creation. She is particularly interested in how art can be used as a medium for connection—between individuals, communities, and cultures. Valuing collaboration and multidisciplinary approaches, and is continuously looking for new perspectives to collaborate with.​

 

From October 2023 she has collaborated with a dance artist Chiara Consiglio, creating duet works ‘s y m b i o s i s’  and 'alternative spaces for empathy'. In addition to her choreographic work, Ada actively teaches workshops and performs in various assemblies. Her artistic contributions have been recognized with grants from the Arts Promotion Center Finland and the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
